Johnny Juliano is probably best known for his work with Wiz Khalifa, but has a resume that includes Jackie Chain, Gucci Mane, Project Pat, Travis Porter, and tons of others. Pan’s Awakening is one of those individual efforts by producers where you can tell that they’ve been keeping the serious heat for their solo work. Check out more of JJ’s stuff at his Soundclick Page.

C-Note was a member of the Botany Boyz, who were part of the Screwed Up Click back in the 1990s. C-Note eventually went solo. “Third Coast Born” was his most successful individual outing and features a ton of Houston all-stars including Bun B, Lil Flip, and Fat Pat. “Mak’n Cash Forever” features Cresia, Big Moe, the Botany BGs and ESG. The beat was produced by Sean “Solo” Jemison, whose work is all over the landscape of Houston rap in the 90s.

Here’s a lyric video for Cee Lo’s new single, which has a great media-friendly title, “Fuck You”. Keep your browsers locked on to BLVD St for the mp3 when it drops officially.

Our nominee for “Mixtape Cover of the Year” is this brand new compilation from the homies at Dirty Glove Bastard and Baller’s Eve. It’s also in contention for Best Overall, because the lineup on this one is crazy. Check out the tracklist after the jump.

As a signee of UGK Records, Dub G has definitely been carrying the torch for the Kingz recently. His style is in the same country rap tunes vein as theirs, musicaly and lyrically. As the host and chief contributor of the Era of the Kingz mixtape, he delivers a worthy performance with the help of some great producers, such as Nesia Beatz. His tracks are the best part of this mixtape, partly because some of the songs are just straight throwbacks, making the whole project essentially a non-chronological compilation. Even if you’ve heard some of the tracks before, it’s definitely worth a listen to get a look at the future of UGK Records.

Track list after the jump.
